The Mormora Coffee Company was established in 2000 towards the southern end of Ethiopia in the town of Shakiso. Mormora’s first year exporting coffee was 2010. The farm is about 17 kilometers from the city itself and almost 500 kilometers from Addis Ababa. The farm is densely populated with indigenous trees and produces approximately 5,400 bags of coffee each year. Mormora is about 650 hectares in size, with 450 hectares of that devoted solely to coffee production. Growth is aided by ample rainfall and excellent red soil.
