1.1 Organic Colombia Tolima "La Rivera" Light Roast
Region: South America
Cupping notes: Brown Sugar, Dark Chocolate, Nutmeg, and Orange
"Our delicious Colombian coffee possesses a classic full aroma, medium body and good acidity. Each cup provides very pleasing fruit tones balanced by an excellent caramel-like sweetness and an overall richness that has made Colombian coffees famous and favored throughout the world.
Colombian coffee is widely known as one of the worlds best coffees. Colombia produces about 12 percent of the coffee in the world, second only to Brazil. While the Colombian Coffee Federation has done a commendable job in promoting the specialty coffees of Colombia, most of the Colombian coffees you find in supermarkets today are very poor examples of what a great cup of Colombian should taste (and smell) like. Freshly roasted Colombian coffee is rich in flavor, heavy-bodied, has a bright acidity and is intensely aromatic. Our Colombian Supremo is one of the finest Colombian coffees you'll find anywhere!"
1.2 Organic Honduras San Marcos
Region: Central America
Cupping Notes: Caramel, Milk Chocolate, Orange
Our Organic Honduran SHG (Shade High Grown) Marcala or San Marcos is grown at an elevation above 4000' in the Copan Mountain region in the Western part of Honduras. We offer ths coffee as it is grown at a higher elevation than our SHG Ocotepeque and therefor it grows a little slower and the bean is a little more intense, more full bodied in the cup and like the Ocotepeque it is low on acid. This bean is one of our favorites and has long been promoted as a good starting point to try when first ordering coffee from us. After you try this as a base coffee then you may tell us what you would like different and we can advise you at that time on our other selections. New crop is excellent.
1.3 Kenya Select AA
Cupping Notes: Grapefruit, Lemon, Raspberry, and Watermelon
"Our Kenya AA is deeply dimensioned with a powerful wine-toned acidity and full body. Its complexity includes fruit flavors alternating with spice. This coffee is another one of our favorites and possesses a very loyal following. Once you experience our Kenya, nothing else quite measures up.
Of all contemporary coffee origins, Kenya is undoubtedly the most universally admired. Both in the cup, and the way they run their trade, everything is topnotch. The best Kenya coffees are not sold simply as generic AA or AB. Kenyan coffee beans are auctioned in Nairobi every Tuesday during harvesting season. They are specific auction lots sold to the highest bidder, and heated competition drives the prices up. In Kenya, their research and development is unparalleled. Their quality control is meticulous, and many thousands of small farmers are highly educated in their agricultural practice and rewarded for top level coffee.
