About Sumatra Mandheling

Sumatra is the second largest of Indonesia's 13,500 islands — volcanic, mountainous, with rich soil ideal for exceptional coffee. The natural drying method used in Mandheling production results in an exceptionally full body and a richness unlike any other origin. At the green bean stage, Sumatran coffee has a distinctive bluish colour attributed to its unique wet-hulling process and the iron-poor soil.
